After Jeroen’s experience with the Utrecht Summer School Ziggurat contributed to the success of a number of other Summer Schools. In Almere (Netherlands) and Biella (Italy), we advised on the design of new Summer Schools and launched these effectively. In others, for example Barcelona, Tilburg and Leeds we advised on the content or other specific aspects.
In Almere, this led in 2010 to a first edition with immediately 170 students. A great start, especially since higher education in Almere was still being shaped.
Additionally Inez and Jeroen advised various ministries on the field of Summer Schools, including the Danish Ministry of Education and Technology and the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education.
Each year, Ziggurat also offers training courses on setting up Summer Schools, the last couple of years in cities like Milan, The Hague, Lyon, Birmingham, Götenborg, Riga, Venice.
